SAVE THE DATE :Sunrise at the Oklahoma Track

Details
Update: It turns out that NYRA denied us permission for early sunrise access to backstretch. That said, Kim Weir from Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga spoke with me about other options today. She has a friend who has a home on 5th avenue right next to the track and is going to inquire is we may want to start there on the 24th. The horses can be observed there. This part needs to be confirmed.
Then we will go to the Whitney Viewing Stand at the Oklahoma Training Track at 7:00. After that we will go across to the main track and clubhouse rail where we can watch the horses working out for free.
For those of you interested you can have breakfast at the track and a tram ride to the backstretch for $30.00
"Breakfast is served on The Porch of the Clubhouse, and seating is first-come, first-served. The cost is $30 for the buffet for adults, and TBA for kids 12 and under. Racetrack admission is free during breakfast hours.
In addition, NYRA has announced that breakfast tickets at Saratoga Race Course will feature free, guided backstretch tram tours, courtesy of the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA).
Tram tours will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and they are 45 minutes in length. The tours will depart from the Clubhouse entrance approximately every 15 minutes from 7:30am - 9:00am."
