What we’re about
Dedicated to those photographers who like to connect with other photographers to share one another's work and attend photography outings.
This group is for people serious about the pursuit of photography. It is for people who want to grow and develop their skills and are receptive to learning from one another. You should have experience and know the fundamental principles of photography.
Although you don't have to be an advance photographer, you should demonstrate a sincere and serious interest in photography.
"When people look at my pictures I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line of a poem twice."
Robert Frank

See all- UPDATE - OWL FESTIVAL- A "Go on your own" eventVINS, Quechee, VT
UPDATE! When I first posted this I didn't realize I'd be having knee replacement therapy. I can't commit to attending this as it will depend on the status of my knee. So, I am making this a "go on your own" event. It looks great.
The details are not announced yet but last year tickets were about $20.00. I will update when I know details. The program last year looked amazing.
This is their website: Vermont Institue of Natural Science (VINS)
From their site: "Join us for a day of all things owl! Meet live owls that range from Vermont’s forests to habitats all over the world and discover their life stories. Join in a craft inspired by owls, and play games to test your own owl skills. Learn all about the amazing world of owls and how you can help the ones in your backyard."For more information, contact us at 802.359.5000
The address is: 149 Natures Way, Quechee, Vermont 05059
Directions: Directions to VINS
We will meet at the location where you enter the event at 9:00.
- Dakota Ridge Llama FarmDakota Ridge Farm, Ballston Spa, NY
I don't know about you, but Llamas are especially appealing to me. They are so cute and seem so friendly. I am booking a visit to the Dakota Ridge Llama farm that will include a tour and the opportunity to take photos of these lovely creatures.
From their website Dakota Ridge Farm:
"Come and visit approximately 60 llamas on a working farm, they are very gentle and easy to love. We will give you basic information on the many uses and care of llamas. The tours are private, so you will not be in a large group. You will have a personal hands-on experience as we bring out a llama for you to pet, brush, feed and walk. We will bring you in all the barns, so you can see and interact with the animals, including taking photographs."
The cost is $20.00 per person. I will need to book and pay in advance so if you sign up please be prepared to send or give me $20.00 in person. I can have up to 15 - 20 people although I don't expect we will have that many.
I will update this event as I know more.
