Boreas Ponds and Blue Ridge Falls in Autumn

Details
Boreas Ponds is arguably one of the most beautiful locations in the Adirondacks. It has stunning views of the interior of the High Peaks Region. Located off the Blue Ridge Road in North Hudson, the route to Boreas Ponds follow Gulf Brook Road for about five miles. This is a unpaved narrow wilderness road which requires taking your time.
Gulf Brook Road is the main route to Boreas Ponds. It's located off Blue Ridge Road, Exit 29 on I-87. Visitors are permitted to drive on Gulf Brook Road, and once you park you will walk just under a mile walk to Boreas Ponds.
After that we will head down out back to Blue Ridge Road and stop at the Blue Ridge Falls. These are beautiful waterfalls and quite accessible via a short hike down to them.
The area is full of boulders so must wear sturdy shoes.
Blue Ridge Falls
Bring tripod, ND filter, and CP filter if you have them.
You will want to bring a lunch/snacks and water. It's hard to approximate how long we will be. If people are interested and timing is right, we will stop for a beverage and bit to eat on way back. Likely in Schroon Lake. Let's hope weather cooperates as this is a great way to spend an Autumn day.
