Spur Cross Dragonfly Loop Hike and Lunch

Let's check out views, wildflowers, wildlife and running creek at Spur Cross Ranch Conservation area. This is a moderate 4 mile hike with about 400 feet of elevation gain. The trail is narrow and rocky. Wear shoes with good grippy soles. Poles may be useful.

There is a $3 per person fee for the park. You must bring $3 CASH. There is no card machine nor anyone to give you change. There is a large parking area. Outhouses are at the trail head. There is no water, so bring at least 2 liters with you. We will start the loop at Spur Cross Ranch, circle to the Dragon Fly loop along a very pretty stream, and end back at the upper parking lot.

We are volunteers offering opportunities for others to join our outings. We are not professional guides. You are responsible for your own health and safety. Come prepared, arrive on time, and remember to pay your fee just past the gate towards the outhouses.

We're planning on grabbing lunch at Big Earl's Greasy Eats (assuming they are open) afterwards and checking the nearby shops in Cave Creek.
