Picacho Peak via Hunter Trail

Join us on an adventurous hike about 75 minutes south of Phoenix. Picacho Peak is an iconic hike, but also a very challenging hike.

This is a hard 3-mile out-and-back hike with 2,112 ft of elevation gain.

There is an entrance fee since this is a state park.

For this hike, you will need gloves for the cable sections. Leather gloves or heavy duty garden gloves are highly recommended. Wear sturdy shoes. Bring 2 liters of water. You will need a backpack since both hands need to be free during the cable sections.

Not sure if you should join us on this hike? Do your research before you sign up. This is a hard hike and not for people who are scared of heights on exposed trails.
