Boss Laser Safety and Certification

Class Description & Agenda:
The Boss Laser Safety and Certification Course is designed to provide an overview of the BOSS 3655 LS laser machine. Upon completion of this orientation the student will understand the safety protocols for machine use, which materials are appropriate to engrave or cut, and specific pre- and post-job operations.
Prerequisites:
Familiarity with Lightburn laser software. This is the software we have selected to run the laser.
Watch these videos to familiarize yourself with Lightburn before using the Boss for your projects. This class does NOT cover in-depth discussion of Lightburn.

After completion of the course the student will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of the safety protocol and workflow for the machine prior to receiving authorization for use.
Cost:
$20 for Pikes Peak Makerspace members / this class is not offered to the public at this time

This class is offered twice per month.

(2) Attendance Policy: If you are unable to make this class, please contact us on slack as soon as possible. If you do not show up and have not communicated to us that you will not be able to attend, the class cost is not refundable.

If you are more than 10 minutes late, it will be considered a no show. You will need to reschedule and the missed class will not be refunded.
