### Move Better Foundations

Free Weekly Online Pilates Workshop

Part 3: Your Spine – Built to Move

Many people believe the secret to a healthy back is keeping it straight and still.

In reality, your spine was designed to move.

Every time you bend, twist, reach or look over your shoulder, your spine works together with the rest of your body to help you move with ease. Understanding how your spine is designed to move can help you build confidence, reduce stiffness and get more out of your Pilates practice.

In this free online workshop, we'll explore:
• Why your spine is designed to move, not stay rigid
• The different movements your spine is capable of
• Why "good posture" is often misunderstood
• How regular movement can help reduce stiffness
• Simple ways to keep your spine moving well in everyday life

After the educational session, we'll spend 30 minutes putting what you've learned into practice with a gentle Pilates session designed to improve spinal mobility, build confidence in movement and help you feel more comfortable in your body.

No previous Pilates experience is needed.

All you need is:
✔️ A mat
✔️ A little floor space
✔️ Comfortable clothing

This workshop is part of our Move Better Foundations series, where we explore different aspects of movement and wellbeing through practical education and Pilates. Each workshop covers a different topic and can be enjoyed on its own, so you're welcome to join at any time.

Please note: These sessions are designed for general fitness and wellbeing. They provide education and guided exercise but are not a substitute for personalised medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Please work within your own comfort level and seek advice from your healthcare professional if you have any concerns about taking part.

I look forward to moving with you!
