Nobility Space — Co-Founder Bo Stump presenting — is building propulsion technology that enables a new generation of ultra-low-cost satellites operating closer to Earth than ever before.

Satellites are one of the largest expenses for commercial space data providers, limiting margins and slowing industry growth. Nobility Space is developing an air-breathing electric thruster that uses atmospheric particles as fuel, allowing miniature satellites (CubeSats) to operate in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO). Operating closer to Earth enables higher-quality data collection while dramatically reducing satellite costs. The company aims to commoditize the components, services, and infrastructure required for VLEO operations, making advanced space capabilities more affordable and accessible. Their vision is to unlock a new economic model for commercial satellite operators.

Our target market is commercial satellite operators, Earth observation companies, defense contractors, and space technology firms who need lower-cost satellite platforms and improved data collection capabilities and are willing to pay for higher margins, better performance, and reduced deployment costs.

Our competition is traditional satellite manufacturers, conventional electric propulsion providers, and alternative in-space mobility companies. Our competitive advantage is air-breathing propulsion technology that enables sustained operations in Very Low Earth Orbit, dramatically reducing satellite costs while maintaining performance.

The total market size in 2024 is the global satellite and space infrastructure market, and the total market revenue in 2024 is $300B+.

Top 3 challenges:

  1. Navigating political and regulatory headwinds within the aerospace sector
  2. Recruiting and retaining world-class engineering talent
  3. Raising the significant capital required for hardware development and testing

Our PitchBoulder ask: We're looking for a brutally honest investor perspective. Pretend you're writing an investment memo: What concerns you? What didn't land? What sounds too optimistic or unsupported? What milestones, proof points, or traction would you need to see before investing? We welcome candid feedback on both the technology and the business model.
