Policing the Police: Privacy and Transparency in Police Use of Body-Worn Cameras

Details

Body-worn cameras are video surveillance tools often used by law enforcement to record their interactions with the public. About 25% of the 17,000 police agencies in the United States are using them, with 80% of agencies fully evaluating the technology.

However, with the adoption of this new technology, questions still remain surrounding privacy, access and police accountability.

Join us for a lively discussion with Criminal Justice Researcher and Writer, Matt Stroud, as he tackles the important aspects of this topic.
