Storyteller Moma Tale-Spin Reads Wangari Maathai

As part of TAKING ROOT: The Celebration of Wangari Maathai, Storyteller Mama Tale Spin, will read Wangari Maathai’s children book “Wangari’s Trees of Peace”, on Saturday April 28th at 3 PM. There will be a book raffle and giveaways at this event.

Regina-Yasmeen Brown (aka Moma Tale-Spin), is a native of Pittsburgh, who hails from the city’s historic Hill District. She is a local storyteller, an avid organic gardener, a killer cook and baker, a grass-roots community activist and a member of the organizing committee of Sembène – The Film & Arts Festival.
