Mt Lebanon Public Library presents Author Talk with Erin Frankel.

Ms Frankel presents her newest picture book, Mary Oliver: Holding on to Wonder. She will share her own childhood writing influences, read from her book, present a slide show, and play audio clips of Ms Oliver reading her poetry. A hands-on poetry workshop, inspired by Ms Oliver’s own approach, follows. The workshop will encourage participants to begin capturing ideas, thoughts, and feelings—just as Mary Oliver did in her notebooks—that can later grow into poems.

City Books will be present to sell Mary Oliver: Holding on to Wonder, other Erin Frankel books, and select books of poetry by Mary Oliver.

The late Mary Oliver was known as "The Bard of Provincetown." She won both a Pulitzer Prize and a National Book Award for her poetry. Learn more about her at https://maryoliver.com/ .
