FREE Community Outreach Sewing Circle & Lessons

• What we'll do
This monthly event is brought to you FREE by a Grant from the Sprout Fund and Emmanuel Christian Church Outreach Ministry.
First learn how to sew on a button "like a PRO". After learning how to sew a button, learn to hem your pants, and so much more. Like... the very basics of sewing to make something new or repair your garments. Re-mix something you own and add some funky embellishments to make them more exciting.
In the future we plan on taking a trip to Loom the fabulous fabric shop in the Strip District, then get to see the "Mobile Museum of Sewing" from my private collection of antiques and finally at some point....fabric/trim/yarn SWAP! Every second Weds of the month. Handicap accessible. FREE coffee and tea. You will receive a FREE travel sewing kit on your first day, if you complete sewing a button. • What to bring
If you have sewing supplies you like to use bring them. If not we have plenty to share. We can discuss what you need to bring after your initial first time. First time, you don't need to bring anything.

• Important to know
If you are coming PLEASE RSVP by calling the host church at 412-766-9243. Just so I have an idea each month how many to expect. Just leave your name and contact back number (in case of emergency cancellation or something) on the answer machine. if you are bringing a guest, please state that on the machine as well. Kids 13 and older with a parent only.
