What we’re about

Mindful Pittsburgh offers free mindfulness meetings each Tuesday, @noon, Eastern Standard Time. We begin with practicing gratitude, appreciating things that we are grateful for. We do "A Weather Report" exercise that involves scanning, checking in, noting, and accepting four different types of present moment sensations (body, emotion, thought, and mindset). This is followed by discussion of mindfulness practices and brief exercises. We conclude with each of us wishing our group some quality or feature of well being, this is a blessing of farewell (and could also be thought of as a practice of compassion or self-compassion).

I'm open to meeting at some other time of the week as well if anyone is interested. Just leave a message, we'll see whats possible. I really love teaching mindfulness, its a public service that I believe should be free and accessible for everyone interested.
