Our Communities
Boston Indies
Boston Indies is a community of independent game developers in Massachusetts supporting hobbyists, professionals, artists, academics, and anyone else interested in the craft of game creation.
Our goals are to:
• Foster a sense of community among Boston’s independent game creators.
• Encourage creating games independent of large budgets and major corporations.
• Serve as a brain trust among local independent developers and create a positive environment for learning and getting critical feedback
We are completely agnostic with respect to technology, development platform, game type, and scope of game development. As long as you show up with an open mind, helpful attitude, and you are committed to making your own games, on your own terms, you are welcome to join us.

BoGo - Boston Godot Developers Group! (GodotCon Edition)
Eastern Edge Food Hall, 290 Main Street Cambridge, MA, Cambridge, MA, US*** Date Change: Meeting will be on 6/20 this month ***
*** Venue Change: We will meet at Eastern Edge Food Hall ***GodotCon is back in Boston this year, and we’re marking the occasion with a special Boston Godot meetup!
You do not need to be attending GodotCon to join us for this meetup. This is open to the broader local Godot community, whether you’re going to the conference or just want to meet other developers working with or learning about Godot. That said, GodotCon Boston tickets are still on sale if you’d like to join for the full event.
Instead of our usual meetup format at the NERD, we’re skipping the talks this month and going straight to the socializing. Come hang out with local Godot developers, visiting GodotCon attendees, and maybe even a few special guests. It’s a great way to unwind after the workshop day or get warmed up for the next two days of conference talks.
Whether you’re deep into a Godot project, just starting to explore the engine, or simply curious about the community, you’re very welcome to join us.
** Please RSVP. This venue has a somewhat limited capacity and there's a lot of folks that aren't normally in town. **
This week we're meeting up at Eastern Edge Food Hall:
290 Main St
Cambridge, MA 02142Starts at 6:00pm. See you there!

Boston Indies: GodotCon Demo Night
MIT Welcome Center, 292 Main St, Cambridge, MA, USCome show off the game you're working on, or just come kick it and see what folks in the community are up to! Hang out and support your fellow game makers with some feedback, informal play testing, and encouragement.
No sign-up required, space is first-come first-serve; if you have something to show, just bring a laptop/tablet to play on! The venue has power but WiFi is a little spotty, so be prepared for that.
We will be in the indoor section of the Welcome Center which has a capacity of 250. This means we will have to turn people away at the door once we hit capacity due to the rules of the MIT Open Center. We apologize for the inconvenience of being turned away at the door, but we encourage you to stop by later and see if space has opened up!
After demo night, we'll see everyone a few steps away at Flat Top Johnny's for some food and hangouts.
Thank you to our sponsor SceneTree, the organizers of GodotCon!!!
