Hike the Riverview Park, 4.5 miles

Arrive by 5:20 and hike promptly.

We will be hiking the Riverview trail of the DuPage River trail in Plainfield. Each loop is 1.5 miles and you can choose to do however many you prefer.

Please note that there are no bathrooms of any kind at this location.

The walking/biking trail starts at Riverview Park, located on Naperville-Plainfield road just east of Route 59 and is behind Plainfield Lock Techs and the drive is just east of the tracks. It looks like you are going to an office building but the trail head is behind the building.

This trail follows the ComEd right-of-way to a turnaround loop at 143rd Street. It is an extension of of the 29-mile DuPage River Trail starting in Naperville and ending in Channahon, but much of these extension connections are still in planning phases.

This park provides an access point which allows people to use the river for canoeing, kayaking and tubing, and the path and bridge provide greater access for fishing,
