Thanks so much for showing interest in our group....!!!
We are presently a small group of about 325 Friends, but are planning on growing..!!
Most of the members of this group have retired early.. So if you are still working, you would probably not fit very well in our Group, as any mention of work will not be well received.
This Group is for those that enjoy ***Dining Out, Dining In, Fine Wine, Good Beer, Outdoors, Indoors, Happy Hours, Dancing, Festivals, Sporting Events, The Arts , Science , Astronomy and Meeting New Friends ***of all adult age groups......
Plano Friends has posted nearly 1700 events in the past and there are many many more planned in the future..
Plano Friends is a group designed by its members for its members, and as such, all friends are highly encouraged to come up with their own ideas on future events and relay those ideas to the Organizer or to any one of our event organizers..we will go where you want us to...!!
Our RSVP ratio ("Attended" to "No Show") is around 80% !!
Travel Events will be posted as well...but this group is not designed to be a "travel agency"..ie., all lodging and airfare (if necessary) will be the responsibility of the individual...
Plano Friends is one of the original Meetup groups in this area..
Our members will have lots and lots of opportunities to attend nice events, both in and outside the Frisco area.....including, Plano, Richardson, McKinney, The Colony, Carrollton, Grapevine, Lewisville, Little Elm, North Dallas, Wylie, Garland and Addison...as well as others..
We will focus on Science and Astronomy Topics at our events..!!
If you would like to join us, a profile picture (OF YOU) is required, preferably a close-up of just yourself ...(no sunglasses or goggles , please)...and also at least your first name.....Any Advertising or References to other Organizations or Websites within your profile intro or your name is NOT allowed.....
In addition, please answer all initial questions as this lets us know a little about you...
Keep in mind that this a "Meetup Group"...therefore you will be joining us to attend events...
Plano Friends was created so that its members could have the opportunity to meet other friends at events located in safe and friendly venues....so whenever an event is posted....we will.....
