if you feel comfortable being out in the weather, you are welcome to come. If you feel very concerned about driving or ice or, potentially, unshoveled sidewalks where you park then this may not be the best day to attend. My drive is shoveled and the front has heated steps so that part should be fine. Point is, do what you need to do as far as cancelling. OK? See you if we see you (we'd love to) otherwise, we'll see you at the next event!

We're having a potluck with a Mexican food theme! We're going to eat around 6:15. Please tell us in the chat what you plan on bringing. Also please bring a recipe or list of ingredients.

Please make sure food is:
--vegan (no honey, eggs, cheese, dairy. animal products of any sort)
--gluten free (this seems to accommodate a larger number of people and isn't hard with Mexican food
--reasonably low sugar and low fat
--let us know if you need us to leave out a particular ingredient due to allergy

People always appreciate organic if you can. If you don't have time to cook, I will post some ideas of things you could bring. No alcohol, no drugs please. if you need to wear some type of shoe inside, bringing slipper socks or slippers is a nice idea some people have done.

If you need to cancel, please do it by 3:00 pm Thursday Mar. 14th because there's always a waiting list.
UPDATE*********
Here is the list of food so far:
Elaine - enchiladas, green chili sauce
Ramesh and Suzanne - black bean gazpacho
Ryan - salsa trio with chips
Janelle - black bean, corn and quinoa salad,
Mark - Spicy guac or chocolate truffles
Laura and Ann - spinach empanadas and a salad of some sort

It looks like we could use some salads, seasoned rice, a dessert, what else?
If you don't have time to cook, bring some salad ingredients: avos, greens, a good salad dressing, tomatoes or cukes. Other ideas include veggies we could roast or grill like zucchini, portobello mushrooms, peppers, potatoes, or tofu. Or we have a very good dessert made from avos and carob that everybody likes - just bring the avos (probably about 10-12 depending on size). We can prep these things quickly and get them out to eat in time.
If you need to throw something in the oven or prep at my house, no problem.
