📄 What’s the Trip About?

I’m planning a vegan camping trip centered around Sand Dunes Pool in the San Luis Valley—with options for group swimming, shared meals, a day at Great Sand Dunes National Park, and a hike in Crestone.

Each person or group will reserve their own site (tent, RV, or cabin), but we’ll coordinate:

Group swims at the geothermal pools

Vegan potluck-style dinners or shared cooking

A group hike or reflective walk in Crestone

A full or half day at the Sand Dunes for hiking, climbing, or resting in the sand

There will be plenty of solo time and space to recharge—this is not a tightly structured retreat, but a community-friendly, choose-your-level-of-participation getaway.

🗓️ When?

I’m aiming for a 3-day weekend, likely:

August 29–September 1 (Labor Day) or

September 5–7 (non-holiday)

I'll choose a final weekend soon based on interest, availability, and campground conditions. I won’t put it to a group vote, but your feedback is welcome and helpful.

🌿 Vibe & Food

100% vegan (potluck and cooking optional, no animal products please)

Peaceful, social but introvert-friendly

Open to all experience levels in camping and hiking

You bring your own food and gear, but we’ll share where we can

Evenings may get cool—prepare for low 40s overnight

🐾 Nature Notes

Mosquitoes taper off in September, but bring spray for dusk

Great Sand Dunes are breezy and mostly bug-free

Pool is open day and night for soaking under the stars
