About us
Platform Engineering Meetup is a community for practitioners, builders, and curious minds working at the intersection of developer enablement, scalable infrastructure, and system reliability.
As modern systems grow more complex, platform teams and resilience engineers play a critical role in enabling fast, safe, and reliable software delivery. This group is for anyone passionate about Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), site reliability practices, intelligent automation, and the cultural and architectural patterns that help teams scale without chaos.
Whether you're building golden paths for developers, operating multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, working on platform observability, or navigating incident response and recovery, this community is your space to connect, learn, and share.

Governing AI Agents with OpenShell & NemoClaw: Meet the Builders
Courtyard by Marriott San Jose Campbell, 655 Creekside Way, Campbell, CA 95008, USA, Campbell, CA, USHola Bay Area Folks
Join us for the first OpenShell community meetup, organized by volunteers for builders, users and anyone curious about agent runtimes.
OpenShell is an open source agent runtime launched and maintained by Nvidia, co-developed with Red Hat and other community contributors. The project recently applied to join the CNCF Sandbox. We think it has a real shot at becoming the standard open source runtime for agents.
This is our first opportunity to bring the people building OpenShell and the people using it together in person. Come hear directly from the project leads, see how it’s being used at Mirantis, and compare notes with others working on agents. No prior OpenShell experience needed.
5:30–6:00 PM · Meet and greet
Snacks, drinks and time to meet people before the talks.
6:00–6:30 PM · OpenShell and NemoClaw: Origin story, use cases, and roadmap
Aaron Erickson (NemoClaw lead) and Jim Meyer(OpenShell) from Nvidia will cover how the projects started, what people are using them for and what’s coming next. They’ll also explain how NemoClaw uses OpenShell, its role as a reference implementation, and the work to bring OpenShell’s secure runtime to popular open source agent harnesses.
6:30–7:00 PM · Using OpenShell to help build k0rdent AI
Boris Renski will share how Mirantis uses OpenShell to run agents embedded in the software development lifecycle, helping engineering teams build k0rdent AI faster.
7:00–7:30 PM · Hang out and mingle
Time to continue the conversation, ask questions and connect with people from the CNCF and OpenShell communities.RSVP here to save your spot: https://luma.com/q6v3ywku
