This course will guide you through improvisation techniques that help you develop valuable personal skills such as initiative, self-control, and innovative problem-solving in various situations.
The Improvisation Basics Course consists of six hands-on units. You will gain insights through practical experience and fun.
What does the course include? A fun and exciting opportunity to develop skills that make life easier!
Through dynamic improvisation games and exercises, you will work on the following:- Gaining self-confidence and being fully present in any situation
- Accepting mistakes as steps toward improvement
- Actively participating in group dynamics
The course covers the following key topics:
- The principles of effective communication
- Silencing the inner critic
- Full participation in group interactions
- Developing compelling stories
- Understanding behavioral dynamics

Vasil S. Vasilev has been practicing improv since 2015, starting his journey with Shizi Improv Theater in Sofia. He trained at the legendary iO Theater in Chicago and currently volunteers as an improv teacher at Rice Cookie Improv Munich.
Vasil is also an actor and an acting student at Internationale Schule für Acting und Schauspiel Munich, where he is further honing his craft. He has had the privilege of learning from improv legends like Dave Pasquesi (TJ & Dave), Susan Messing (co-founder of Annoyance Theater Chicago), Joe Bill, and many other incredible improvisers from around the world. Along the way, he’s picked up not just skills but also a love for helping others unlock their creativity and spontaneity.
He is also the founder, worker, boss, janitor, coffee maker, official troublemaker, and deep thinker of PlayPlay Improv. If something needs doing, Vasil is probably doing it—whether on purpose or by accident. Rumor has it, he even improvises his to-do lists.
