What we're about
Upcoming events (5+)
We are a friendly group of gamers and game designers who meet every week to playtest our own board and card game prototypes. We meet from every Tuesday, from 6:00pm onwards, at The Cricketers (Luk Thai) pub in Cambridge. All are welcome, and there is no charge. And if you don't have a game prototype of your own that's cool — you can just help us playtest ours! :) If you are interested in joining us or have any questions, feel free to contact Brett or Matt.
Hi all! Welcome to the Belfast Playtest Meetup! If you are currently working on a board game, looking for inspiration or just want to try out cool designs, this is the place for you. We meet at the Queen's Cafe' on Wednesday[masked] as part of the Board Meeting group, to share ideas and try out custom built board games. It's a very relaxed environment so don't be scared to drop by! If it is your first time ask for Rob (Barratt). This event should be running every week, but as it is a new group there is a chance a week may go amiss. This page will however be updated to avoid any inconvenience, so make sure to check if an event is on before coming by. Looking forward to meeting you soon! Rob
IMPORTANT: Please join our FaceBook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/GameDesignersMeetup/) since that is where all discussion / organization takes place! What: Playtesting and feedback Where: The Lansdowne Pub, 71 Beda Road, Cardiff, CF5 1LX When: Thursdays from 7pm Welcome! We are a friendly group of game designers, who meet regularly to playtest our game prototypes. We share skills, offer support & encouragement, and give constructive feedback. If you have a game you'd like to test, or are interested in learning more about designing a game, you're welcome to join! What kinds of games? Our main focus is tabletop games: board games, card games and family games. But we are also interested in other kinds of games, such as story games, role playing games and real world games.
A weekly playtesting event in Norwich, held downstairs at Athena Games every Thursday. We'll play any kind of game - dice, card, board, whatever - and anyone is welcome, with or without a prototype. If you have a playable prototype, no matter how rough, bring it along to get feedback and advice from fellow players and designers. If you don't as yet have a prototype, but have some opinions on what a game should be like, come along and help us make great games
