Pleasanton Senior Center - North Parking Lot --->MEET---> 9:15 am --->ROLL---> 9:30 am **Even the Tri-Valley can experience a bad (difficult) day for cycling. On January 15th the morning was cold...(mid-30s) and there was serious localized fog (drippy/limited visibility) isolated to Pleasanton-Livermore-that failed to burn off by mid-morning. The high pressure system refused to yield and the AQI was high. This was a difficult morning. It didn't help that a number of Pedaler outliers reported moderate temps and bright sun on the 'cookie crumb trail.' ***NOAA/NWS/WU are posting a far better scenario for our Pedaler ride this week (January 22)--->Temps in the mid-40s...no wind...sun! We will se if Santa's Mines Road crash site has been picked up. ****OUT--->The likely route this week will largely echo what was planned for the 15th. Pleasanton Senior Center > Jack London Tr > Cookie Crumb > 'easy-peasy' Holdener > Mines Rd > *****Back to Livermore Library and coffee then Vineyard to SenCen. ******When we meet on the morning of the 22nd, the Pedalers that were frustrated by the nasty weather will endure the boasting from the Pedaler outliers that never saw the fog on the 15th! *******There will be a no-host luncheon (weather permitting) following the ride for anyone who wishes to join us. Spouses are invited to join us for the ride and the luncheon afterwards. *******Helmet (& extra tube necessary). The Pedaler's Social Ride is a "NO DROP" group and electric bike friendly. Ride "sweep" will facilitate keeping all on course. Ride will re-group as necessary. Cycling etiquette essential. Pleasanton Senior Center/Livermore Library open . Attendees are limited to 30 who have signed for the ride in advance. Please be sure to bring your helmet, water and a spare tubes. No SAG cars provided.
