The Pleasanton Pedalers are a TriValley-based cycling group. We lead rides each week for a variety of skill and experience levels. We also form group rides both nationally and internationally.

First...a quick word... **The alarm sounds ... and it is dark! The morning chill penetrates deep. Choices are made... ***C.J. Box (author), describes a scene that echoes the sting of winter: "When the gray black fist of storm clouds pushed across the sun, the light muted in the forest and erased the defining edges of shadows and the forest plunged into a dispiriting murk." ****This sentence captures what some winter mornings are like in the Tri-Valley. You decide..."am I to go or no go?" You go! ******Pleasanton Senior Center - North Parking Lot --->MEET---> 9:30am --->ROLL---> 9:45am ...NOAA...NWS...WU promise warmer temps & sunshine thus encouraging the Pedalers to chase shadows...follow shadows on a winter morning in the Tri-Valley! ***Expect to burn some calories ****Expect an endorphin re-supply *****Expect to see the last of the autumn fall leaf colors ******Expect to pause for necessary clothing adjustments *******ESSENTIAL—>bring a small carry bag 🎅…we will be stopping at See’s Candy…and Pleasanton’s Candy Lane *** ********There may be a no-host luncheon (weather permitting) following the ride for anyone who wishes to join us. Spouses are invited to join us for the ride and the luncheon afterwards. *********Helmet (& extra tube necessary). The Pedaler's Social Ride is a "NO DROP" group and electric bike friendly. Ride "sweep" will facilitate keeping all on course. Ride will re-group as necessary. Cycling etiquette essential. Pleasanton Senior Center open . Attendees are limited to 30 who have signed for the ride in advance. Please be sure to bring your helmet, water and a spare tubes. No SAG cars provided.
Not a Pedaler’s Ride. The Rusty Relics Bike Club is sponsoring its annual Christmas Ride through downtown Pleasanton to Candy Cane Lane to view Candy Cane’s Christmas Lights extravaganza. Open to all cyclists, ages and bike types. It is slow and crowded, but fun with everyone in holiday spirits.
The Tuesday morning ride is be a bit longer and faster than our Thursday Social Ride. The route will change each week. Plan on 15 mph on the flats and 30-40 miles in length, approximately 1,000-1200 feet of climbing. The ride will be limited to riders who have signed up for the ride in advance. Plan to leave promptly at the start time noted in the calendar event. Start time may be adjusted based on weather conditions. Please be sure to bring your helmet (REQUIRED), water, spare tube(s) with pump/CO2, some food, and a willingness to push yourself a little further. No SAG cars provided. Cycling etiquette essential.
