*****...traffic minimal in Laguna Creek (alas the turkey vultures had moved on) ditto minimal along the Happy Valley road

********* ...Pedalers headed West on Valley and allowed their speed on the descent under the RR overpass to increase
********** ..."CYCLIST DOWN!!"
********** ...Steve hit a hard ball size rock and went down HARD...
*********** ...landing on his hip...sliding on the asphalt about 10 feet
************ ...His POC helmet now needs an upgrade...as do his tights/PleaPedJersey/jacket ...
************* ...Nurse Peggy did initial assessment... No ambulance needed...but a quick drive to Walnut Creek's ER essential
************** ...bruises...road pizza...very sore hip...back debatable ...pride challenged...

**NWS/WU/NOAA suggest a significant warming trend. Check your water bottles!

***The Ride Sweep will insure the ride hangs together on this 'easy-peasy' ride. We anticipate 'clothing adjustment stops' and a bathroom/water break at Sycamore Grove/Wetmore.
***Lunch in Pleasanton following the ride for anyone who wishes to join us. Spouses are invited to join for the ride and the lunch afterwards.
*******Helmet (& extra tube necessary). The Pedaler's Social Ride is a "NO DROP" group and is electric bike friendly. Ride "sweep" will facilitate keeping all on course. Ride will re-group as necessary. Cycling etiquette essential. Pleasanton Senior Center open.
***Coffee/treats/bathrooms at Poppy Ridge.

**Attendees are limited to 30 who have signed for the ride in advance. Please be sure to bring your helmet, water and a spare tubes. No SAG cars provided.az**
