Show & Go
--->MEET---> 9:00am
--->ROLL---> 9:15am
******Pedaler Route--->
*SenCenter > Stanley > Isabel Trail > Vineyard > "Tuscany--Kalthoff Cmn " > Sycamore Grove Pk > Vineyard Starbucks > Return to SenCen
COMMENTS:--->under 30 miles
Stanley-Isabel Tr-Vineyard----->easy-flat
Tuscany-first climb +/-300 yards...will challenge, but followed by easy flat
Tuscany-second climb +/-100 yards followed by the sweetest rolling that justifies the Tuscany label. Coffee at Vineyard Starbucks. Return to SenCenter on Vineyard (with short stair-step climb (50 yds at Pietronave)
**Spring has arrived with warmer temps by mid-day. Like the white crown sparrows departing for the foothills, many Pedalers are also taking off (AmerAirlines/BritAir) for new challenges.
***Remaining Pedalers will explore some of the best TriValley routes.
NOTE: Pedaler ride this week will NOT have a designated LEAD. The route detailed for this week is a "general description" subject to the whims-passions of those at the 9:00am MEET.
*****The Ride Sweep will insure the ride hangs together. We anticipate 'clothing adjustment stops'****
***********Helmet (& extra tube necessary). The Pedaler's Social Ride is a "NO DROP" group and is electric bike friendly. Ride "sweep" will facilitate keeping all on course. Ride will re-group as necessary. Cycling etiquette essential. Pleasanton Senior Center open.
*****Pedaler Hosts will do their best to accurately (and appropriately) use adjectives like "mellow...affable" when describing the weekly Thursday rides."
Attendees are limited to 30 who have signed for the ride in advance. Please be sure to bring your helmet, water and a spare tubes. No SAG cars provided.
SPECIAL NOTE: **Saturday, April 25 was the annual KUMI support ride starting in Castro Valley and exploring the impressive cycling territory in a variety of residential - commercial - park & Bay/estuary multiuser trails. To wit: this is territory the Pedalers should seriously consider for future rides that have a MEET/ROLL that's not too far (**perhaps 20 miles...with easy access off 580) from the Pedaler SenCen home base.
We need your thoughts...reflections... Please. Humor us.
Thnx.
