Details

Please note: Read the directions very carefully below BEFORE you RSVP "Yes' for this event,

  1. This is a 1 night, 2 day adventure during Memorial Day weekend.
  2. You cannot be high maintenance and must be DRAMA FREE to join me on this adventure.
  3. You must be reasonably fit to hike a few miles in one day and climb up ladders and traverse through some water and slot canyons to participate in this mostly outdoor adventure.
  4. I will be renting a vehicle which we will carpool from at a designated address in the City of Carson. The estimated cost per person for the vehicle and gas will be about $150 per person. It might be less, but I am quoting a high figure due to the cost of gas these days.
  5. You must book your hotel either at the place that I booked at: Cedar Valley Inn, Cedar City (updated prices 2026)
or just a few miles from Cedar Valley Inn in Cedar City, UT.
  6. On our way to Cedar City, UT, we will have lunch at a restaurant in Las Vegas. Estimated cost of lunch in Vegas is between $30 to $40 per person. We will either have a meal in St. George, UT or Vegas on our way back to LA on Sunday as well.
  7. This adventure requires a non-refundable $17 deposit. This deposit pays for the hiking permit I secured for this adventure. The permits cost $15 but they had $2 service charge, which is why its $17. You can send me the deposit payment via Zelle, PayPal or Venmo.
  8. The first day we will hike one easy slot canyon and the second day we will hike Kanarra Falls.
  9. We recommend sturdy, waterproof hiking boots and the use of hiking poles.
Be prepared to hike in ankle to knee-deep water for about half of the time, and expect to get wet. This hike is rated moderate to strenuous due to the difficulty of navigating a rocky riverbed. Additionally, you will need to scale a 20-foot ladder, so please use caution.

Its been a couple of years since I first heard about Kanarra Falls which is a slot canyon with a stream that runs through it. I found out there is also another slot canyon near it as well. So I want to head there this Memorial Day weekend and hike these two slot canyons. So come join me on this slot canyon adventure!
