What we’re about
Welcome to Plein-Air Painters of NYC! We’re a dynamic community of artists dedicated to capturing the vibrant essence of the cityscape. Our mission is to unite artists from diverse backgrounds and skill levels for engaging plein-air painting sessions and enjoyable social gatherings.
At our events, we set up our easels, paint en plein air, and share our artistic visions. Afterwards, we gather for drinks or a bite nearby to foster connections and camaraderie.
Community Code
- Be Kind to Fellow Artists: We’re here to uplift, inspire, and connect. Positive encouragement goes a long way.
- Leave No Trace: Let’s keep our painting spots as beautiful as we found them. Clean up and be mindful of the environment.
- Share the Space: NYC is big, but our favorite spots might not be. Let’s make room for each other and for others who enjoy the parks and public spaces.
- Communicate Openly: If you have an idea, suggestion, or concern, feel free to share. We thrive on collaboration and open dialogue.
- Respect the Roster: Our events have limited spots, so if your plans change, please update your RSVP. This way, another artist can join in and enjoy the experience.
- Diversity is Our Palette: All creative viewpoints are welcome here. The more perspectives, the richer our work.
Running late? No worries! Just shoot us a heads-up so we can keep an eye out for you. We’ll be updating the group’s status and location on the Meetup app in real time.
Please note that pictures and videos are taken during events for our Instagram page and future planning.
If you would like to be tagged or have your artwork credited, kindly inform the organizer during the event.
Come immerse yourself in the beauty of the city, connect with fellow artists, and unleash your creativity with Plein-Air Painters of NYC. Let’s paint the town together!
