Accotink Plein Air Painting, Sketching and Photography

Let's get together to enjoy plein air (outdoors) painting/sketching and photography, and nature journaling in Lake Accotink Park (Springfield, Virginia) and along Accotink Creek (meandering throughout Northern Virginia). Plein air outings are scheduled throughout the year to allow members the chance to explore creatively the beauty each season offers.  Nature Journaling outings are scheduled twice a month, usually one Saturday and one Monday, so members can get up close and personal with Accotink's native plants and animals.  The Springfield Art Guild, Friends of Lake Accotink Park and Friends of Accotink Creek formed this partnership to support the visual arts in our community while educating the public about these beautiful local parklands. The Virginia Master Naturalists' Fairfax Chapter also is a sponsor as of 2019.
