Stretch you legs on this awesome day hike! West Granite is a less-visited peak just beside Granite Mountain, at I90 exit 47. We'll start out on the trail to Talapus and Olallie Lakes, then start hiking uphill. There isn't an established trail. Total elevation gain about 3200 feet. Not sure about milage, possibly around 9 miles RT.

There will be snow; plan on taking your snowshoes. Microspikes might come in handy too. Don't forget warm clothes, rain gear, food, water, and your sense of adventure!

Those of you coming from the south, we'll meet you at the trailhead at 9:15.

Optional stop for food and beverage after the hike.
