What time does the race start?

We’ve got two races happening this year – so you can pick the time that works best for you! 9:00AM and 11:00AM on Wednesday, December 24

What is the course?

Click here to view the Jingle Bell Run Course map with water stations included. Please note that the course will be the same 3 loops around Wright Park. The mileage will be 3 miles long. The start and finish line will be near the basketball courts near the corner of S I St and S 6th

What is the price of the race?

October 10 to December 4 – $35. $20 without Hat.
December 5 to December 22 – $40. $25 without Hat.
December 23 to December 24 – $45. $30 without Hat.

Where to park on the race day?

There will be no designated parking on race day. Please find appropriate street parking.

When can I pick up my race packet?

Packet pickup will be at Peoples Community Center December 23 from 12:00-5:00 pm. There will also be packet picket on race day 1 hour before your starting time at the Parks Tacoma branded tent.

8:00 am – 9:00 am packet picket
10:00 am – 11:00 am packet picket

Will there be day of registration?

If we are not at our maximum capacity, we will be taking day of registration.

We will be taking day of registrations from 8:00-8:45 am as well as from 10:00-10:45 am. This will be at the starting line.

What do I get with my registration?

Each participant will receive a beanie, a sticker and a newly designed commemorative race bib with their race entry. There will be complimentary hot chocolate to warm up either before or, in our suggestions, after the race.

You can opt out of the hat and save $15 on your registration.

Will there be a bag check at the race?

We will not be offering bag checks at the race this year. Please plan accordingly and we recommend not leaving valuables in vehicles.

Will the race be timed?

Yes, the race will be chip timed.

Do the top participants win anything?

The top male, top female, and top non-binary participant will be recognized. Winners will need to stick around to receive this and capture a photo.

Can my dog run with me?

Of course! All dogs must be accompanied by their human friend and must stay on leash for the entirety of the event. You are responsible for your dog’s behavior If they are displaying aggressive or overly disruptive behavior, you will be asked to leave.

Is the course stroller friendly?

This course is stroller friendly and will be run entirely on the gravel path at Wright Park. We encourage participants to stay to the right on the pathway unless passing other racers and to be mindful of the other participants that are sharing the course.

What if I cannot make the race anymore?

We’re sorry to hear that you cannot participate anymore in the race. Please contact our Race Crew who will tell you about the next steps. You can reach us at races@parkstacoma.gov.

What is our refund policy?

If you decide to withdraw from the race on or after December 9 you will only be eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds will be given for withdrawals on or after December 22.

Is there a donation drive with this race?

Yes, we are partnering with Tacoma Rescue Mission to collect Blankets, Coats, Sleeping bags, Gloves, Warm hats, Warm socks, Hand warmers, small flashlights, Travel size deodorant, Disposable razor, and General warm clothing.
