About us

Pacific Northwest Dreamers exists to bring together people who feel a connection to the world of Twin Peaks and the creative spirit of David Lynch. It’s a place for folks who want community, friendship, and shared experiences with others who appreciate the atmosphere, mystery, and emotional depth of these works. The group is open to longtime fans and people who are just discovering them. At its heart, this is a welcoming space to meet, talk, create, and explore the Pacific Northwest together.

I started this group with the intent of creating a space where friendships can form naturally and people feel comfortable showing up as themselves. Even though this group is rooted in Twin Peaks and Lynch, it doesn’t have to stay on theme, and no one has to be a superfan. You’re welcome to bring your love of film, art, music, or anything else that feels like part of your world. Come as you are, share what you love, your interests and your passions.

This is my first time organizing something like this, so I’m learning as I go. Anyone who wants to be involved is welcome to help with planning, hosting discussions, screenings, leading hikes, or assisting with special gatherings and trips. This is a community effort, and contributions of any kind are welcome.

We meet in person one to two times a month, depending on interest and availability. Most meetups will be in Seattle or North Bend, but I spend half my month in Spokane and half in Western Washington, with regular stops in North Bend along the way. Because of that, gatherings will rotate around different PNW regions. I’ll try to post events 1–4 weeks in advance so people can join wherever makes sense for them, whether that’s close to home or just a place they feel drawn to.

Gatherings may include:

  • Café, diner, or bar meetups
  • Hikes (friendly dogs or hiking cats welcome)
  • Creative gatherings
  • Film nights and occasional watchathons
  • Transcendental meditation

Over time, I’d love to grow small local circles in each area so folks can connect wherever they are. As the group grows, that could also open the door for larger gatherings in North Bend, visits to Twin Peaks locations, collaborations with local theaters, special screenings, or creative projects that emerge from the community.

Pacific Northwest Dreamers is a non‑discriminatory, judgment‑free community. People of all races, backgrounds, identities, and walks of life are welcome here. Everyone is expected to treat each other with respect and to show up with kindness and curiosity. And in the spirit of Director Gordon Cole, let’s be sure to keep our hearts fixed before we gather.

A little about me:

I was born and raised in Bellingham, and after almost a decade in Spokane, life has been split between the two places for work and family. Regular drives across the state have made North Bend a familiar stop, and visiting the falls, the Double R, and other filming locations has become part of that routine. Attending the Twin Peaks Festival over the last couple years has only deepened that connection.

Most weeks are a mix of work, time outdoors, and traveling with my rescue dogs. Hikes around the region and shows in Seattle happen whenever possible. I love music, art, literature, and film, especially the deep cuts, and I am always happy to share things I find. I am not on social media, but I do have a Letterboxd.

I am open, curious, and I love getting to know people. I marathon Twin Peaks often, but I also love absurd British humor like Brass Eye and Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace. A newer hobby I have taken up in the last year has been learning puppetry and making desserts, usually pretty ones, though the occasional extremely weird cake happens by request or happenstance.

I’m grateful to begin this with all of you and curious to see what it grows into. Feel free to start a discussion on the group page with ideas, dreams, or anything you’d love to explore. And if you want to help organize or talk directly with me, you can reach me at mia@pnwdreamers.com

I look forward to meeting each of y'all and making some memories!
