Poetry for your Soul Virtual Open Mic: Juneteenth

Join us for the Poetry for Your Soul Virtual Open Mic, a special gathering for poets, performers, and lovers of spoken word hosted by yours truly FreeleSpoken! This event is a welcoming space where you can share your poetry, connect with others, or simply sit back and enjoy the rhythm and power of the words.

Note: To join the event, you’ll need to register your email with Zoom. If you don’t already have a Zoom account, I recommend signing up for a free one ahead of time. When you click the Zoom link, you’ll be required to sign in to your account before entering the session.

This session’s theme, Juneteenth, invites you to honor the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, recognizing Black freedom, resilience, and the vibrant richness of Black heritage and expression.

Upon entering the Zoom session, please turn on your video briefly to confirm your presence if this is your first time joining. Once verified, you’re welcome to turn your camera off if you prefer.

You are not required to use the theme, but it’s there to inspire those who need a spark for their creativity.

After each performance, you will have the opportunity to share your thoughts and reflections on the spoken word piece before we move to the next.
