CELEBRATING - PETE FREAS - Still Skipping Stones!!!

JOIN US - SATURDAY, November 2nd, 2019 / 2-4 PM at the Russell Memorial Library on Talyor Rd., Chesapeake, VA as we celebrate the poetry and contributions of special guest Pete Freas and his wife Anne.

In addition to his own remarkable poetry and prose, Pete over the years has helped hundreds of Virginia poets publish their work through the Skipping Stones Anthologies.

Through his platform Chesapeake Bay Poets and a news letter titled "A Line in Time", Pete inspired writers all over the community and kept them informed about literary open mics, workshops and conferences.

A recipient of the Virginia's prestigious Alli Award - Pete Freas is recognized throughout the larger arts community as an ambassador of poetry and unifying voice for traditional and spoken word poets.

If you have never met Pete Freas, please come out and listen to his friends, family and fellow poets tribute him. Bring your own poems, especially any that might have been published in one of the Skipping Stones anthologies.
