What we’re about
We believe in a theory of change based on an idea from Peter Newman that achieving paradigm shifts for a modern metropolis requires a relatively small number of people - about 150 or so in the case of the Austin region - to be engaged in ongoing, dynamic conversations.
Policy Hacking with Farm&City is a monthly gathering sponsored by Capital Factory, designed to engage and support citizen advocacy in local communities. Farm&City is committed to building these networking opportunities and facilitating dialogue that will shift the paradigm of growth and development toward greater sustainability and equity in Texas.
Each event will feature two speakers: a public policy expert who will cover a timely topic and a visionary talk on future trends and opportunities in Texas based around Farm&City's mission of creating & preserving high quality urban & rural human habitat in Texas in perpetuity.
We will prioritize time for networking, discussion, and debate, empower each other to participate in public processes, will consent to actively listen to diverse points of view, experiences, and ideas.
