Come and learn the beautiful Polish folk art of decorative paper cutting - Wycinanki - and enjoy a truly Polish cultural experience. Our guide for this workshop is Maryland Traditions Folkcraft Master, Carla Tomaszewski, who will explain the history and traditional styles of Polish wycinanki, and guide participants to create a wycinanka bookmark (or two) and cutout designs with multi-layered colors.
The Polish Heritage Association of Maryland sponsored fee of $25 includes all working materials, design templates, handouts, lite fare, and non-alcoholic beverages. PHAM members just $15. Cash bar available as well courtesy of Polish Home Club.
Youth 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
