The Parliamo Café has moved! We are still running Sunday conversations in Italian for all skill levels, but we are now under the Polyglot Language Meetup group. (PLEASE NOTE: This is a virtual event hosted by a Chicago, IL-based civic group. It is not a New York-based event. I think that tag just gets attached to all Polyglot events.) (PPS - We set our events for plenty of time in case they run over, but they are intended to last one hour.)
We will read short stories and articles in Spanish. We will either read them in Spanish or translate them into English. All of the texts will be provided. It is recommended to use a computer so that the font will be larger.
- This event is designed for those have an intermediate or advanced level of conversational Italian (at least B1 conversationally). - this is not a group for beginners - Camera needs to be on at all times. Participants who choose to keep videos off will be removed. - Do not share the Zoom link directly. If you want to invite others, share the event page instead. - We will be together in the main room for a few minutes then do 2 rounds of conversation in small groups for about 20 minutes each. You can come and go as you wish.
*Attention: always ask for permission before taking photos of the participants and no recording of the event.
