What we’re about

Pop-Up Creativity Hub is an open community for people to embrace the power of creativity. Because we truly believe everyone is creative and should apply this way of thinking and doing to their daily lives. PCH is for passionate problem-solvers, innovation practitioners and creative thinking enthusiasts. Both newbies and experienced creatives are welcome!

VISION: Everyone identifies, believes in and applies their inner creativity.

Our MISSION is to facilitate the adoption of creative problem-solving and decision-making practices. We aim to achieve that by the generation of an inclusive, co-creative and hands-on knowledge hub.

OUR APPROACH:

Our community focuses on establishing an in-depth understanding and use of different methods and tools applicable throughout the innovation process in order to solve nowadays world’s wicked problems. In order to achieve that, our community is composed by two main pillars:

1. Experiential sessions during which participants get the chance to learn about a new method or tool through a practical application. Every session is composed by a set of presentations and a workshop, and they vary not only on the method applied, but also on the context, the designated challenge and the location. We firmly believe in the impact that this learning-by-doing and community-driven approach has on innovation. We aim to provide different sessions around the Netherlands so that to facilitate as much as possible that everyone can attend our sessions. PCH offers the following two workshop formats:

Company oriented: This type of workshop aims to share knowledge and expertise and/or solve a challenge owned by a particular company. This way participants gain knowledge and practice over a topic, while getting to know the dynamics of the company. In this particular case, the company hosts one or two presentations.

Personal experimentation: Because we believe it is crucial that participants apply creative thinking to their own particular case, we also set up workshops in which we present and use creative techniques for the participants to reflect on and generate ideas for themselves. In this case, the presentations and workshop are company-independent.

2. Pop-up Creative Hub toolkit, which contains the summary and materials of every session. This open-source toolkit aims to provide a ready-to-apply knowledge source by the community and for the community. Check our medium page for the first version of our toolkit (under construction).
