Happy Father's Day, dads! Let's get the kids out of the house for a low-stress afternoon hang and an easy, flat walk to wrap up the holiday weekend.Whether you are a seasoned dad or a brand new parent, this is a zero-pressure, open environment to connect with other local fathers while the kids burn off some energy.
🕒 The Timeline:
4:00 PM – 4:15 PM: Meetup and introductions at the main playground. Kids can play on the structures while everyone arrives.
4:15 PM – 4:45 PM: A gentle, stroller-friendly, half-mile loop along the paved reservoir paths. We move at a toddler's pace—no dad gets left behind!
4:45 PM – 5:00 PM: Head back to the playground for a casual wrap-up. You'll be home right in time for dinner and bedtime routines.
📍 How to Find Us (Look for the Rip City Hat):
We are meeting directly at the Mt. Tabor Park Playground structures. I will be standing near the main park benches wearing a Black and Red Rip City baseball cap with two wild sons running around.
🚗 Parking & Logistics:
Exact Parking Address: Enter through the Southeast 60th Avenue and Salmon Street entrance. Park along Southeast Salmon Way near the playground.
Strollers: 100% stroller, wagon, and carrier friendly.
Bathrooms: Public restrooms are located directly next to the playground structure.
This event is happening rain or shine, even if it's just me and my kids. Come talk gear, parenting, or just enjoy a walk. See you there!
