- Description Join local author of "Backyard Birds West" Seymore Gulls on an easy bird adventure as we look for ducks, geese, sparrows, red-winged blackbirds and more!
I’ll teach you a few bird calls as well as point out the different species we see and hear, and answer any questions you have about bird watching and birds.
This tour is designed for beginners, but I welcome all levels of bird enthusiasts! Want to focus on birding by ear, bird photography? Let me know!
In hour two hours of bird watching we should see about 30 different species of birds.

Who's invited?: All Humans of all ages, backgrounds & birding abilities! If you have ever noticed a bird before in your whole life you are ready to come and look at more great birds with our fun/nice/inclusive group!

Dress code: Wear layers, we will go rain or shine, but hopefully shine?!

Optics - I have a bunch of fancy binoculars to loan out. You don't have to bring anything, or you can try something new, just let me know if you want to borrow some.

Walking and trail conditions - Flat/easy/short - It's a gentle unpaved loop, but few places to sit along the way. pace is slow.

Distance to be walked: 1ish mile max

Additional important information Bathroom is a portapotty of ill repute. Bring a drink.

Cost: Pay what you can/want. I don't want money to be a barrier to birding, but I also don't want to get a real job. Recommended tip range: large coffee to small pizza.
