McLoughlin Promenade | Municipal Elevator | Oregon City
Details
DESCRIPTION: Let's meet for an urban walk and explore some historical threads of Oregon's pioneer past, with a walk along the Oregon City Promenade and viewpoints of Willamette Falls and the locks. Plenty of stairs to begin, followed by the promenade and a trek to Canemah Bluff. If you're not familiar with this area, along the way back we'll encounter a set of metal stairs to climb that are high/exposed/with handrails but could be dizzying for some. You'll have an opportunity to assess the stairs and hold back if you want to avoid them and meet us when we come around the loop. We'll catch a ride down the muni elevator.
DISTANCE: About 5 miles
PARKING: Downtown Oregon City, metered or free depending on where you are. Near or on Main Street, approximately 6th, 7th, 8th streets.
MEET AT: In front of the Municipal Elevator, lower level.

FITNESS LEVEL: This will be a moderate pace; begins with stairs and one set of stairs mid-walk. Paved all the way, except the Canemah Bluff section which is natural trails.
