- All Roads Music Fest in Belfast, MEBelfast, Belfast, ME
The All Roads Music Festival is a celebration of local and indie music that takes place over 2 days on 5/17 and 5/18. I only have a ticket for Saturday though. Day pass tickets are $45 and it takes place in Belfast, ME. There are various parties and stages all over town with music playing all day. There are a bunch of great artists in the lineup, but I am most excited to see Weakened Friends, Viqueen, and Rigometrics! All put on killer shows.
I will be driving up from Portland the morning of 5/18 and would be happy to carpool with anyone. I have an Airbnb booked, but I can cancel and split lodging with anyone if there's interest.

- Primus and Coheed and CambriaThompson's Point, Portland, ME
Primus and Coheed and Cambria. What else is there to say? Two heavyweights in the rock world. Tickets are $55 in advance $65 the day of the show.
Description of the bands are below:
Primus: is a rock band formed in California in the mid-1980s by two ex-members of thrash band Blind Illusion by Les Claypool and Larry LaLonde. Larry's band before Blind Illusion was death metal pioneers Posessed. Les (vocals and bass guitar) has been the only constant member. They have had two guitar players (although Larry has held onto the role for the past 16 years) and many different drummers (although Tim Alexander and Bryan "Brain" Mantia were the only ones who recorded with the band, and Jay Lane, the only other one who had creative impact) in the past.
Their music has proven difficult to define; while usually considered by critics to be funk-metal or alternative metal, Primus has been called everything from "thrash funk" (as the band blends funk-style bass technique with thrash influenced guitar riffs and songs tempos), to "alternative rock" to "the Freak Brothers set to music." Les Claypool himself once described their music as "psychedelic polka." Thanks to the diversity of their sound they have been able to gain fans from nearly all rock subgenres. They are characterized by their irreverent approach to music — they release their records on Claypool's Prawn Song Records label, a parody of Led Zeppelin's Swan Song, and their catchphrase was, for several years, "Primus Sucks!". In 2003 the band dropped that catchphrase, as well as Tim Alexander's nickname "Herb".Coheed and Cambria: is an American rock band from New York, formed in 1995. The band was originally named "Shabütie"; however, the name was changed to "Coheed and Cambria" when drummer Nate Kelley departed. The band incorporates aspects of progressive rock, punk rock, heavy metal and post-hardcore.
Coheed And Cambria's albums are concept albums that reveal a science fiction storyline called The Amory Wars, also told as a series of comics written by lead singer Claudio Sanchez. The band has released five studio albums, two live albums, and several special-edition releases. In 2008, the band held a series of concerts called Neverender, during which they played their studio albums over four days in succession, in four locations.
