Many of us know little about our ancestral landscape beyond a few generations. In this guided meditation, Entering the Tree, you'll discover that before healing can begin, connection must first be restored. Together, we'll begin reconnecting with your lineage—its strengths, its wisdom, and the patterns it's time to release.

Through quiet reflection and visualization, you'll begin developing a living relationship with your ancestral landscape while gaining a clearer understanding of the lineage that supports you. No prior meditation or ceremonial experience is necessary—just a willingness to sit quietly and turn your attention inward. The session runs approximately 45–60 minutes and includes time for sharing and reflection afterward.
This is contemplative, reflective work rather than therapy. Because exploring family and ancestry can surface real emotion, you're encouraged to move at your own pace. You're always welcome to pause, rest, or step outside at any time.

You'll leave with a deeper connection to your ancestral roots and a greater awareness of the wisdom, resilience, and support carried through your lineage, creating a foundation for continued healing, reconnection, and self-discovery.

Based in Portland, Kana Hattori is a devotional singer and kīrtan leader who offers this practice as a path of joy, bliss, devotion and deep emotional honesty from lived experience and deep gratitude.
Kīrtan carried her through some of the most challenging seasons of her life, becoming a source of strength, refuge, trust and renewal.
Now she shares it regularly in community, holding gentle, heart-centered spaces where all voices are welcome.

Rooted in Bhakti, guided by heart, her offerings invite others to connect deeply within themselves, with each other and with the sacred, and to discover the joy, healing that awaken when we sing together, remembering that our own voices are medicine, and that devotion can be both powerful and tender.
