Portland Surf Crew

Surfing is fun. Surfing with good people is even better.

This group is for people in Portland who love surfing the Oregon coast, want more beach days in their life, and are looking to meet others who are down for spontaneous dawn patrols, sunny weekend sessions, road trips to the coast, and hanging out after the surf.

We’ll post upcoming trips when conditions are looking good, along with the expected skill level for the day, where to meet up on or near the beach, and options for carpools from Portland. Whether you surf every week or are just getting into it, the goal is to build a fun, welcoming community around surfing and beach culture in the Pacific Northwest.

And you definitely don’t have to surf to join. If you love the beach, coastal drives, bonfires, tide pools, photography, or just hanging out around surfers and ocean people, you’re welcome too. Especially photographers — good surf photos are always appreciated.

If the group grows enough, we’ll also do occasional meetups and hangouts around Portland when we’re not chasing waves.

This is an informal community group, not a surf school or guided service. Everyone is expected to bring their own gear, know their own limits, and take responsibility for their own safety in the water.
