The St. Johns Bridge is a beautiful place to launch, and there are some interesting things to check out in this industrial area of North Portland.

I have extra kayaks (with paddles & life jackets) that I can bring, or bring your own & join us. A $25-$40 donation is requested per kayak, but if you are facing financial hardship please let me know. If you need to use one of my kayaks, just make a request in a post, and then be sure to message me and remain in good communication to confirm your attendance.

We will meet at the end of Pittsburgh Ave, at the pedestrian dock just south of the St. Johns Bridge. Restrooms are located to the north side of the bridge by the boat ramp and main parking area (which is a bit of a hike - it's easier to drive over).

Please dress for the weather and avoid wearing cotton if possible. Also a change of shoes & pants/shorts is always a good idea. Often I like to go to the food carts in St. Johns afterwards.

All Portland Kayaking Community events are suitable for beginners unless otherwise specified.
