This Paddle is Full - You can join the waitlist but will only be adding people if there is a cancelation.

This is an Intermediate moving water paddle. Please read the full description of the event before signing up. Everyone will go on the waitlist and will only be moved to going after being approved by the hosts.

  1. This is a shuttle of the Lewis River from at the base of the Merwin Dam to the golf course. It is 6.5 miles of moving water with some sections of riffles and waves. Solid boat handling skills are needed. This is not a beginner paddle.
  2. This is best suited for rotomolded boats no longer than. 14’.
  3. Only people who have paddled with us before will be accepted for this paddle and the number of people will be capped, so if you are interested sign up early.

Our paddles have grown in popularity. Priority will be given to people who have done the following:

  1. Donated to support the Portland Kayaking Meetup group expenses, if you would like to do this details are below.
  2. People who have attended paddles with us previously, people that we know, are active on our facebook page, and are generally supportive of the group.
  3. Have a good attendance record. We hate to tell people a paddle is full, but it’s even worse when someone doesn’t show up and we have turned others away.
