Ross Island
Details
Sellwood Riverfront Park is a great spot for boaters of all kinds, just on the south end of the downtown area with a unique row of houseboats that are only visible by boat. Local wildlife includes bald eagles, osprey & great blue herons.
I have extra kayaks I can bring for people who don't have their own, as well as a tandem inflatable, which is even easier for people with little to no experience. A donation of just $25-40 is requested when you use one of my kayaks, but if you are facing financial hardship please let me know. If you need a kayak, just make a request in a post, and then be sure to message me and remain in good communication to confirm your attendance
Directions: Cross the railroad tracks & bike path (carefully) and turn right onto Oaks Park Way. Then take your 1st left into the city parking lot.
