We will be Meeting at the Mayfield Lake Boat launch off of hwy 122 / (not the day use swim area) at 11:30 with a On the water time of Noon.

Drive: 98 miles from Portland

Paddle distance: 6 miles - estimated

Wear your swim suit, water shoes and bring lunch as we are going to explore up the Tilton River to find the elusive water fall. This will require river walking with our kayaks. Lunch on the gravel bar.

Boats: 10’ - Shorter roto mounded boats or best. We will be getting in and out on gravel bars to portage to the waterfall.

If you are doing the full moon paddle the night before there is a few slots open for camping on Private land near Silverlake, WA. Contact Kari for details.

Somewhat faster kayaks, and/or a bit of paddling strength & stamina are recommended for most paddles. Most are not difficult, but time constraints require we will need to at least keep a moderate pace. Feel free to post any questions you may have about this, or message the host directly.

What to bring:

  • A kayak or SUP
  • Personal Flotation Device (PFD) and whatever else you need to keep safe
  • Something to keep your essentials dry. (key fobs and phones don’t work well when wet)

We love when you bring friends but they do need to sign up individually so they agree to the terms and conditions as this is an active event that has risks. Hosts / organizers on Meetup are unpaid volunteers and claim no special expertise or knowledge. We will paddle as a group but ultimately you are responsible for your own experience, safety and decision-making.
You are responsible for your gear, for safety PFD’s are required to be worn while on the water at all events.

Please support our group and consider making a small $10 donation once per season. To support the annual meetup expenses and other costs.
Members who have paid dues will be given preference for available spots on paddles.
