Curious about learning Portuguese, but tired of formal classes and pressure to speak before you’re ready?

Portuguese and Play is an event conceived by a Portuguese language learner for others who are new to the language and culture. The idea is to supplement traditional language learning with learning through play - for grown-ups!
You are invited to engage in some form of play while absorbing Portuguese through storytelling, poetry and music. You can complete a puzzle, doodle, sculpt, build lego, crochet, fidget, or whatever activity keeps your hands busy and your mind receptive.

No tests, no drills, no awkward speaking — just relaxed exposure to the language in a welcoming, social setting.
This event is designed around language acquisition: learning through immersion and context. By keeping your hands busy and your mind relaxed, you can naturally start to pick up the sounds, rhythms, and patterns of Portuguese — even as a complete beginner.
Your ticket includes tea and cookies!
