Sheffield Positive Money Meetup, Mon 17th Oct

This is an opportunity for you to meet other people who believe that our debt-based economy is fundamentally flawed, and who are seeking a system that works for society, not against it.

The evening is aimed at anyone who wants to understand the ‘root cause’ of the problem, and what the fixes are. It is also for anyone who is already familiar with the Positive Money campaign, but who wants to meet others to exchange ideas, and find out more about how the campaign can be taken forward.

Quaker Meeting House, 10 St James Street, Sheffield S1 2EW

The venue is very central - St James St. leads off the western side of the Cathedral forecourt.

By bus, get off at High St / Church St

By tram, get off at the Cathedral

By car, there are NCP car parks on Campo Lane, and ample street parking around Campo Lane and Hawley St, free after 6:30pm.

Timetable

6:45 to 7:00 - meet other supporters in the lounge, and have a chat over tea/coffee/biscuits

7:00 – meeting starts in the meeting room. After an introduction, we will watch the DVD “all about the money” in which Ben Dyson explains the 3 problems with our banking system, and the 3 Positive Money fixes.

At approx 8:20 – campaign update followed by discussion

9:00 – finish. Those who want to continue the discussion can retire to a local hostelry!

Cost

We ask for a donation of £3 to cover the cost of the room, and there is a charge of 50p for the tea/coffee/biscuits
