Post-Apocalyptic Book Club Pages

A lot of people ask how the Post-Apocalyptic Book Club started, and it actually began as an experiment: if we built a Post-Apocalyptic Book Club, would they come? It turns out that they will! The first meeting was in May of 2009 with 8 people who met to discuss The Road by Cormac McCarthy. From there we read Day of the Triffids, then On the Beach and as the group started to expand we added movie nights and pub crawls.
The group is really diverse, which leads to some great conversations and opinions during the book club discussions, while the movie nights and pub crawls are a good way to meet and socialize. We are generally evenly split between men and women, and the age range is from early twenties to fifties. It you have never read a book in this genre, or if you are an expert with suggestions for new books we welcome novice and connoisseur alike. Or just come for the drinks!
